After careers in broadcast sales, media buying, new media, and financial planning, I decided to bring my expertise in research and analysis to the insurance world and devote myself to finding the best insurance plans for customers and small businesses.

This was the world I wanted to be in. I saw that all the skills I had learned in the past helped me deliver results that improved my customers’ lives for the long term.

I formed Ruffin Insurance Solutions, Inc to provide business owners and individuals the resources needed to take care of themselves and navigate the continual changes in Health Care Reform. We offer our clients expertise in insurance planning and employee benefits for: Group Health Insurance and many voluntary benefits for 2-500 employees, Medicare, Life Insurance, and Long Term Care Insurance.

I bring all my expertise and background in solid research and analysis to every case we handle. Every single customer is unique, and with my attention to detail, I craft the best insurance plan for each and every situation. I monitor each plan’s performance to ensure my customers are getting what they need. I understand the world of insurance, and make complex issues easy to understand and act on.

Most important, my purpose is helping my customers and serving their health. I become their partner in making that happen— with a smile.

Helena lives in Charlotte, NC with her wife Shari Robins, a professional chef. They celebrate the joy of food by going to the farmer’s market, creating menus, cooking, and hosting dinner parties with friends. She also enjoys international travel, and raising their three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, George, Tyler and Myrtle. They are all junior partners in charge of office morale.
